NIT-and-iCetana-V3

Dubai, U.A.E. – 5 September 2018 – NIT, an Ingram Micro Company, leading regional value-added distributor of IP surveillance and physical security solutions in the META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) region, today announced signing a distribution agreement with iCetana, a leading provider of real-time AI-assisted video monitoring software.

Through this agreement, NIT is now authorized to distribute iCetana portfolio surveillance solutions, to its channel partners in META region (excluding KSA).

”Our new agreement with iCetana provides significant opportunities for both NIT and iCetana to build unique beyond-security solutions for IP surveillance and physical security for our reseller partners in the META Region,” said Bassel Al Fakir, Managing Director of NIT. “Artificial Intelligence is changing how we use technology these days. Advanced and sophisticated software, such as AI assisted video monitoring, has taken us to  a place where we can leave many repetitive tasks to computers.  Adding iCetana to our linecard immediately unlocks more value for our reseller partners and their customers, enabling them to continue to profitably grow their businesses.”

”iCetana is excited to be working with an organization such as NIT; one well-known throughout the META Region for its  professionalism, innovation and customer service ,” said Francis Williams, Manager of Strategic Partnerships.  “iCetana’s advanced AI infused system not only minimizes the problem of massive video surveillance data overload by only showing what matters, it also has proven to be a valuable asset for beyond security events including Occupational Health and Safety and operational compliance.  Organizations are then able to act on these events to increase operational efficiencies and mitigate risks.”

About iCetana

The iCetana system utilizes computer vision and a patented machine-learning algorithm to automatically learn the difference between usual movement patterns and unusual exception events in real-time. The system automatically monitors live-video feeds to self-learn what happens typically on each camera view. It then instantly highlights operators to any “unusual” events. As result operators are more engaged and able to focus on those events enabling assessment in real-time and initiate immediate response.
